Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Create beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions including weddings, events, and everyday orders, ensuring each piece meets high-quality standards.
• Assist customers in selecting flowers and designing custom bouquets or arrangements that match their vision.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized floral display area, including inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Use floral design techniques to craft arrangements that are both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, handle cash handling accurately, and process customer payments efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering gardening or plant care advice, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Support outdoor work activities such as lawn care and landscape maintenance when needed to enhance the overall appearance of the store environment.
• Keep detailed records of floral orders, inventory levels, and sales data using retail math principles to optimize stock levels.
• Collaborate with team members on merchandising strategies to showcase seasonal flowers and gardening products effectively.

Skills

• Proven experience in floral design with a strong portfolio of arrangements.
• Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture practices, gardening techniques, and landscape maintenance.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, retail sales processes, and stock merchandising.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
• Outdoor work experience related to lawn care or landscape upkeep is beneficial.
• Ability to identify various plants and flowers quickly and accurately to ensure quality standards.
• Customer service expertise with a friendly attitude and effective phone communication skills.
• Basic retail math skills for inventory management and sales calculations.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
