What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Engineer position at Thoron?
Thoron is building USA Designed and Built Enterprise Drones.
We’re looking for an Electronics Engineer to work closely with our Senior Electronics and Mechanical Engineers to take our PCBs from schematics to validated boards.
What You’ll Do
- Part selection, schematic generation, and detailed review of schematics
- Perform detailed layout for PCBs
- Manage and maintain PCB footprint libraries
- Collaborate with internal team for multi-board designs
- Generate and release fabrication and assembly documentation
- Collaborate with the internal team and vendors to ensure successful build of PCBAs
- Perform initial board bring up and validation
What you Bring
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineer
- 2 years of professional full-time experience in PCB Design, using Altium
- You thrive in fast paced environments with changing requirements
- Ability to be onsite daily. Expected location: Auburn, WA or nearby
- A strong problem solver, with ability to flex outside of traditional work roles
Nice to Haves
- 5 years of PCB Design experience
- Professional experience outside of Electronics
- Other Electronics Engineering, Firmware, or other device experience
- Experience in aviation
