Job Description — Cooler Worker (ampm Convenience Store)

The Cooler Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked beverage and refrigerated product area inside the ampm convenience store. This role ensures customers always find fresh, properly rotated, and attractively displayed products. The Cooler Worker supports store operations by following safety standards, inventory procedures, and delivering friendly customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Stocking & Merchandising — Refill all cooler sections with beverages, dairy items, sandwiches, and other refrigerated products throughout the shift.
• Product Rotation — Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
• Inventory Checks — Monitor stock levels, identify low inventory, and communicate restock needs to management.
• Cleanliness & Safety — Keep cooler shelves, doors, and storage areas clean; maintain safe temperatures; report equipment issues.
• Customer Assistance — Provide friendly help to customers looking for products or needing assistance.
• Backroom Organization — Organize incoming deliveries, break down boxes, and maintain a tidy stockroom.
• Compliance — Follow all store policies, food safety guidelines, and health regulations.

Qualifications

• Attention to Detail — Ability to maintain neat, accurate product displays.
• Physical Ability — Lift up to 30–40 lbs, stand for extended periods, work in cold environments.
• Teamwork — Work collaboratively with store associates and managers.
• Basic Communication — Interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Prior retail, grocery, or stocking experience is helpful but not required.

• Frequent time spent inside refrigerated cooler
• Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
