What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Thornton Winery?
We are excited to be hiring a Part-Time Line Cook for our busy restaurant who is motivated, enthusiastic, and has a distinct need for a job they can take pride in.
You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with taste and timely delivery following cooking instruction, skillfully moving around the kitchen, and able to multi-task.
We are looking for:
- Proven cooking experience as a line or prep cook.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe kitchen; ensures all sanitation procedures are being followed; ensures adherence to all health and safety regulations and procedure.
- Skillfully utilizes hand tools or machines required, reads recipes, measures, cuts and otherwise works on materials with great precision.
- Has knowledge of basic braising, sautéing, grilling, broiling, and frying techniques.
- Possesses and maintains thorough understanding of industry and stays abreast of industry trends.
- Ability to work as a team with good communication skills.
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, holidays.
- Must have 3 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant, not fast food.
- Experience with large banquets, 200 guests.
