A leading mission critical and data center construction platform delivering large-scale, complex builds across the United States. The business operates at the sharp end of the AI and digital infrastructure build-out, managing concurrent multi-hundred-million-dollar programmes for hyperscale and enterprise clients, often on aggressive timelines where speed to power and speed to delivery are competitive differentiators.
The project delivery model is built around tight document discipline and clean information flow - non-negotiables when programmes are moving fast, multiple contractors and design teams are working in parallel, and the cost of error is high. As the pipeline of awarded work continues to grow, the business is investing in the project controls infrastructure needed to support it, with this hire forming a key part of that build-out.
The Role
This business is seeking a Document Controller to sit within the Project Controls function and take full ownership of document management across an active mission critical build. The role exists to take documentation off the Project Director's desk entirely - managing submittals, RFIs, transmittals, drawing registers, and version control so project leadership can focus on delivery, not paperwork.
This is a hands-on, in-office role at the heart of a live construction programme. You'll work closely with Project Controls, design teams, and site leadership to ensure every document is logged, tracked, distributed, and current - and that nothing slips through the cracks on a fast-moving job.
About You
- Proven experience in document control on large-scale construction projects — mission critical, data center, or comparable complex industrial/commercial builds
- Strong working knowledge of document management platforms (e.g. Procore, Aconex, SharePoint, or similar)
- Sharp attention to detail and a structured, process-driven approach to managing high volumes of documentation
- Comfortable working directly with Project Directors and senior site leadership
- Ability to relocate to Dallas, TX for an in-office role
