Job Description
Thomson Reuters™ is seeking an experienced contract Project Manager to provide coverage for the Product Content Tax & Trade Development team. The Project Manager will support the delivery of internal process improvements for tax software content development, helping the team continue to improve time-to-market and accuracy in serving our tax customers. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for managing day-to-day Project activity, tracking deliverables, and keeping stakeholders informed.
The contractor will report to the Vice President, Product Content, Global Tax and Trade, and will support Teams across indirect, direct, and global tax compliance for the duration of the engagement.
About the Role
In this role as Project Manager, Product Content, you will:
Manage the day-to-day execution of ongoing initiatives that improve and automate how tax and trade product content is developed and updated.
Maintain and update Project plans, schedules, and status reports for the Tax and Trade Product Content organization.
Coordinate with tax and trade Teams, tax champions, and technologists to Keep product content projects on schedule and within scope.
Track Project risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate to leadership as needed.
Support ongoing AI and process-improvement projects by coordinating tasks across product managers and technology partners.
Use AI in day-to-day delivery, applying AI and automation workflows to implement process improvements faster and more consistently.
Work across a variety of AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and proprietary TR tools) to support project delivery and drive automation.
Facilitate Project meetings, document decisions and action items, and follow up to ensure accountability.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders on Project status, timelines, and changes.
Ensure continuity of existing workstreams and provide a clean transition and handoff when the incumbent Program Manager returns from leave.
Drive overall AI usage and adoption increases across the Product Content organization.
About You
You're a fit for this role if you have the following required qualifications:
5 years of experience in Project management roles.
A proven track record of managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to quickly learn existing projects, tools, and processes to maintain continuity with minimal ramp-up time.
Experience supporting change management and driving adoption of new processes or technologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing clear status reports and stakeholder updates.
Comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment during a defined contract period.
Intermediate understanding of AI concepts, with the ability to apply AI tools to real work rather than just conceptually.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in tax software development or a similar content/product development environment.
Hands-on experience with multiple generative AI tools and a genuine interest in process automation.
PMP certification.
Prior experience as a contractor providing interim or leave coverage.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $52-$62/hr USD.
