The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting customers to and from the dealership in a courteous, timely manner. Key Responsibilities
Customer Transportation
- Safely transport customers to and from designated locations in a timely and courteous manner.
- Assist customers with entering and exiting the shuttle vehicle as needed, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued.
- Communicate estimated pick-up and drop-off times to customers, setting clear expectations for the service.
Vehicle Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the shuttle vehicle to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Report any maintenance needs or safety concerns to the Service Department to ensure the shuttle vehicle is always in safe, working order.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the shuttle vehicle by removing trash and keeping the interior tidy, ensuring a pleasant environment for passengers.
Customer Interaction & Service
- Provide friendly, professional customer service to enhance the customer’s overall experience at Thompsons Auto Group.
- Address customer questions or concerns in a courteous manner, referring them to the appropriate team member when necessary.
- Communicate dealership promotions, services, and events to customers, acting as a knowledgeable and positive representative of Thompsons Auto Group.
Administrative Duties
- Log and report each trip’s mileage, time, and destination details as required by the dealership.
- Track shuttle schedule and maintain accurate records of customer pickups and drop-offs.
- Support other dealership staff with administrative tasks when not driving, such as assisting with customer check-ins or front desk duties, if requested.
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a driver or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
- Capable of assisting customers with mobility issues, including helping with bags or other light items.
