** This position is On-Site in Frederick, MD! **
Essential Job Duties:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in various departments to translate complex business activities into robust data models that power downstream business intelligence tools, reporting, and analytics.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
- Script well-performing queries in SQL and conduct UAT on database objects for use in downstream analytics.
- Perform research on the root cause of data anomalies uncovered through the normal course of analysis and provide solutions.
- Stay up to date with the latest features, updates, and industry trends related to all current ThompsonGas data systems to propose enhancements and improve data warehousing capabilities.
- Resolve tickets about data or performance issues related to Business Intelligence deliverables and systems.
- Participate in multiple enterprise-wide projects by providing data expertise to project leaders.
- Create clear and comprehensive internal documentation for data processes, methodologies, and systems, ensuring that technical information is accessible and understandable for all relevant stakeholders.
- Provide support and training to team members to enhance their ability to utilize data in reporting.
- Collaborate with IT department in maintenance on SQL Server, Azure Synapse, SAP Datasphere, and all other ThompsonGas data management software.
- Assist in maintenance and monitoring of data security within ThompsonGas data warehousing ecosystem.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 4 years of comparable industry experience.
- A solid understanding of Relational Databases, Data Warehousing, and ETL concepts required.
- Advanced SQL development experience required.
- Python development experience preferred.
- Experience with Azure Synapse preferred.
- Experience in SAP Datasphere is a plus.
- Ability to assess and learn new data processing and management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- An understanding of the Propane industry is a plus!

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
