Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic Lead for a local client in Trappe, MD. Candidates who have a background working as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.
Job Duties:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily maintenance activities for production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including:
- Pneumatics
- Hydraulics
- Gear drives
- Compressed air systems
- Basic electrical components
- Assist in prioritizing and responding to maintenance needs on the production floor
- Provide guidance and support to maintenance technicians while promoting safe work practices
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and reliability
- Troubleshoot issues with forklifts and powered industrial equipment as needed
- Collaborate with production leadership to address operational challenges
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge
- Experience working with production/manufacturing equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges
- Understanding of workplace safety and commitment to safe practices
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience with refrigeration systems
- Prior leadership or lead-level experience
