Responsibilities
- Clean, sand, scrape, and prepare surfaces for painting.
- Fill cracks, holes, and joints with appropriate materials.
- Apply primers or sealers to surfaces as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, lacquer, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and textures.
- Apply specialty finishes, such as faux finishes or murals, as required.
- Operate and maintain painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and power washers.
- Clean and store tools and equipment properly after use.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in painting is preferred.
- Proven experience as a painter, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Experience with various painting techniques and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to operate painting equipment safely and effectively.
