Responsibilities:
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitization of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently and maintain its proper functioning
- Support the kitchen team by organizing and restocking clean dishes, glassware, and silverware
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, collaborating with fellow team members
- Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines for proper handling and disposal of waste
- Assist in maintaining smooth kitchen operations by working closely with the culinary staff
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers.
- Organize and store clean dishes, ensuring they are readily available for the culinary team.
- Assist with kitchen cleanliness, including sweeping and mopping floors and removing trash.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to health and safety standards to maintain a hygienic and safe kitchen area.
- Stand for long hours, often in wet conditions.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs (racks of dishes, garbage bags).
- Work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced environment.
- Bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely.
