What You’ll Do
- Bid and estimate commercial restoration and reconstruction projects using Xactimate and traditional estimating methods
- Develop bids using a material and labor approach by sourcing accurate pricing from contractors and suppliers
- Conduct thorough site inspections for multi-unit, commercial, and condominium properties
- Collaborate with property managers on rehabilitation and repair scopes
- Partner with the Project Concierge team to support scope development and fast turnaround of estimates
- Work with sales representatives to review and explain estimates to clients and stakeholders
- Communicate directly with adjusters on commercial insurance claims, supplements, and negotiations
- Represent Thomasville at industry expos, networking events, and meet-and-greets to strengthen relationships and promote services
- Maintain accurate documentation and proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle
Who You Are
- 3 years of experience in commercial estimating or restoration (insurance-related experience strongly preferred)
- Highly proficient in Xactimate; familiarity with DocuSketch, Hover, or similar tools a plus
- Strong understanding of construction practices to support accurate field estimating and cost projections
- Excellent communication skills, especially when explaining scopes to clients and stakeholders
- Comfortable working directly with adjusters and navigating insurance claim processes
- Willing to travel across DC and MD
- Preferred: experience with condominiums, HOAs, or large commercial properties; existing industry contacts; background in project management or restoration oversight
