Commercial Reconstruction Technician
$26-$32 per hour | Full-Time | Laurel, MD | Serving commercil clients thorughout Maryland and DC
PBI Commercial is seeking an experienced Commercial Reconstruction Technician to join our Restoration Division. This position is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys restoring commercial properties in MD/DC region after water, fire, mold, or sewage losses.
Unlike mitigation technicians, this role focuses on putting buildings back together. You'll evaluate repair scopes, perform high-quality finish work, and coordinate specialty subcontractors when work extends beyond our self-perform capabilities.

What You'll Do
- Perform commercial reconstruction following mitigation projects
- Repair drywall, framing, trim, doors, ceilings, flooring, and paint
- Evaluate repair scopes and determine self-perform versus subcontractor work
- Coordinate with Restoration Team Leads to ensure seamless project transitions
- Document repair scopes using company software
- Oversee subcontractors to ensure quality and schedule compliance
- Maintain organized, safe, and professional job sites
- Deliver repairs that meet PBI's quality standards and client expectations
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on commercial construction experience
- Experience with drywall, framing, finish carpentry, flooring, and painting
- Ability to independently complete finish repairs
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check
Preferred
- Restoration industry experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience using BuildOps or Encircle
