Speech Therapy company is seeking a personable team member for a Full-Time front office position, providing administrative and support duties.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
· Moderate to Strong Computer skills - e-faxing/scanning, email, insurance portals, some scheduling
· Previous medical office experience (Preferred)
· Previous experience with insurance (Preferred)
· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks in an office environment.
General responsibilities:
- Answer telephones and perform office support tasks.
- Greets and directs patients to the appropriate area or staff.
- Occasional patient scheduling.
- Verifies patient demographics and insurance coverage.
- Ensures patient visits and procedures are pre-authorized.
- Prepares invoices / collects patient payments and deductibles.
- Maintains an orderly and organized front office workspace and treatment area.
- Additional office Support and clerical duties, such as e-faxing, copying, scanning and attaching forms, responding to email messages etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
