A Thomas & Skinner Electrician works within the Maintenance Department, primary responsibility is to repair equipment failure and to ensure equipment is available for production use. Periodic Preventative Maintenance will be performed to ensure serviceability. Age of equipment range from 1940s to brand new, and typical equipment on the facility includes furnaces, high temp ovens, grinding machines, CNC machines, press machines, Vibratory bowls, and powder presses. The Electrician will also support Facilities Section on electrical infrastructure, and Fabrication Section on design, development, and construction of new equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 5 years or more in an Industrial Maintenance position
- Troubleshoot Electrical and Mechanical issues
- Basic knowledge of AB ACS PLC, Thermal Controllers
- Able to read electrical schematics and structural drawings
- Knowledge of repair on Square D contactors (size 1-4)
- Capable of changing 3Φ motors, pumps, thermocouples, and regulators
Additional Optional Qualifications:
- CAD experience
- MicroLogix programming, or PLC programming
- Knowledge and use of Oscilloscopes
- Data communication bus system (IP)
- Okamoto or Okuma troubleshooting experience
- Good organization skills in assist in developing strategic maintenance plans
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot/repair electrical/mechanical/pneumatic problems on assigned equipment
- Have basic set of tools to include a multi-meter
- Report weekend duty (scheduled on a rotational basis)
- Capable of following a daily maintenance schedule
- May be on call for breakdowns
- Basic knowledge of computers to document maintenance, request parts, and do research
