Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for performing the repair and maintenance of automobiles.
Completes routine scheduled maintenance on automobiles and trucks as directed by manager and/or service consultant.
- In an efficient and productive manner, performs automotive and/or Truck repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair orders for which technician is trained (including but not limited to Engine repair, electrical diagnoses and repair, CVT/Automatic transmission work).
- Works with, and trains lower-level Technicians
- Test drives vehicles and prepares vehicle for delivery to customer
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE certifications are preferred
- Willingness for training/advancement
Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):
Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):
- High School diploma, GED
- Technical school graduate/certification
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Experience:
- 1 year of experience repairing and diagnosing vehicles at dealership or an automotive center
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools and technical resources and training to independently perform a variety of basic to complex repairs and maintenance
