THE ROLE: National Manager of Quality Assurance is a corporate operations role responsible for evaluating, strengthening, and elevating construction quality standards across all divisions of the company. This position conducts independent, on-site audits of homes, job sites, construction processes, quality programs, and team knowledge. In addition to auditing, the role serves as a teacher and capability builder, providing practical training, coaching, and feedback to improve consistency, craftsmanship, and execution nationwide.

- Conduct regular, structured site visits to all divisions
- Perform detailed inspections of homes at multiple stages (pre drywall, pre paint, final, post close as applicable)
- Evaluate workmanship, code compliance, company construction standards and trade performance to ensure consistency across similar product types
- Assess adherence to approved plans, specifications, and scopes of work
- Audit field implementation of company quality programs, construction checklists and controls as well as Inspection, /punch processes, warranty and close out procedures
- Identify breakdowns between intended standards and actual field execution
- Validate that quality metrics and inspection processes are being used as designed
- Assess construction knowledge and technical competence of Area Construction Managers / Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Warranty team members
- Ensure all sites are OSHA compliant and meet all construction / building standards
- Identify skill gaps related to building science, code requirements and best practice construction methods
- Document recurring knowledge issues by division, product type, or geography
- Deliver hands on, practical training in the field and classroom settings
- Develop and lead jobsite walk through trainings, trade and supervisor quality refreshers, and targeted training focused on recurring defects or risks
- Reinforce best practices through real examples, demonstrations, and coaching
- Partner with Corporate Operations to recommend updates systems, processes, standards and training content
- Prepare clear, factual, and actionable audit reports for Corporate Operations and Division leadership (as appropriate)
- Provide trend analysis across divisions to inform enterprise level decisions
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. bachelor’s degree preferred
- 8 years of hands-on residential construction experience
- Certified Quality Inspector, OSHA 30 Hour Safety Certification required
- Deep understanding of building science, residential structural systems, envelope, framing, MEP integrations, and finish quality
- Extensive travel required (typically 70–80%)
- Must be comfortable working independently across multiple regions
- Ability to be on active job sites regularly
Salary : $120,000 - $151,000
