What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office Lead position at THOMAS EYE GROUP PC?
Primary responsibility is to ensure that the processes of the front desk area are managed, controlled and maintained appropriately and professionally. The Front Office Lead must enjoy providing customer service, enjoy working with others and have a desire to achieve the corporate objectives as stated in the mission statement. The role oversees the Front Office Lead in greeting/welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, coordinating surgery schedules and accepting patients’ payments. Position interacts with the patient and ensures that check-in and check-out is carried out accurately, friendly and efficiently; answers general questions about TEG’s policies, procedures, and services. Provides a kind and caring attitude to ensure the patient’s experience is positive. Consistently enters data in EHR system and record detailed information in patient’s files. Essential to communicate with patients, insurance providers, medical providers, physicians, staff and co-workers in an effective and professional manner. Oversees the reporting of daily receipts and generates financial reports on a daily bases. Ensures the reception area is kept in a clean and professional appearance.
Qualifications:Required Minimum Education: College Degree, preferred
Required Minimum Experience: 5 years relevant health care experience required
3-5 years customer Service experience required
A combination of experience, education, and/or training which substantially demonstrates the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Ability to provide direction and oversight for front office staff
- Possess positive attitude to greet and assist patients in navigating through the appointment
- Knowledge of EHR system; HIPPA guidelines
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Possess an aptitude for math; reports and calculations
- Understand the value of customer service to be effective at all times
Required Minimum Skills:
- Demonstrate attention to detail, be organized, a team player and proactively prepared to provide prompt service.
- Knowledge of insurance companies and managed care contracts
