Position Summary

The Smokehouse BBQ and Brews Server is responsible for the warm friendly table service and dining experience of the guest. Presents dining options, serves the guests, and provides area information in a friendly, professional, and quick manner. We currently have part-time openings for servers for weekend and evening shifts during peak dining hours. Potential earnings for this position is $29 to $39 per hour based on actual employee earnings but not guaranteed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be 18 years of age
• Perform opening and closing procedures per company guidelines
• Present dining options and makes recommendations based on guest interaction
• Take order (food, beverage, and alcohol)
• Maintain complete knowledge of the restaurant's food and beverage preparation
• Clearing and resetting tables
• Checking identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages; refusing to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age
• Observing guests' behavior once they have consumed alcoholic beverage, counting number of drinks served, and offering a taxi if you feel they should not drive; asking a manager for help with disorderly guests if needed
• Provide timely, friendly table service throughout the meal
• Create, present and settle guest checks via point of sale system
• Wrap silverware units
• Interact with guests from start to finish and provide relevant restaurant and area information to ensure positive dining experience
• Communicate and work as team with other servers, busser, and host to bus and set tables and plan reservations
• Maintain neat, clean and safe server station work area and dining room seating area
• Maintain verbal communication with team members and management
• Other duties as directed
