What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Manager position at Thomas Behavioral Healthcare?
The House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential setting, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment while supporting the needs of the individuals living in the home. This role includes supervising and scheduling staff, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and care plans, managing household budgets and supplies, coordinating appointments and activities, and maintaining clear communication with families, healthcare providers, and agency leadership. The House Manager also provides direct support when needed, addresses any issues that arise in the home, and fosters a positive, structured, and supportive atmosphere for both residents and staff.
Daily Programming:
- Provides transportation to and from activities
- Assists in the implementation of individual service plan for individual and behavioral plan goals
- Assists individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and individual service plan.
- Assists and encourages individuals in the establishment of social networks
- Promotes participation and involvement in community outings
- Ensures each individuals' rights are protected
- Works all assigned schedules, including but not limited to: arriving and departing on time, requesting time off in advance, and notifying your supervisor of changes to your assigned work schedule
Training:
- Completes and maintains all required State mandated training such as CPR / First Aid, and all trainings required by Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities
- Attends meetings and training sessions as required
- Completes annual trainings related to Individuals' Service Plan
