Front Office Schedule Coordinator with Dental Background (Full-Time: Tuesday–Friday)

Are you a dental assistant or dental front office team member who thrives in both the front and back office and wants to be an integral part of a small, patient-focused dental team? We’re looking for a self-sufficient, dependable, and motivated schedule coordinator with dental experience to help us deliver high-quality, ethical, and personalized care.

We are a small, tight-knit team (less than 10 people) where every member plays a crucial role. We don’t cut corners—we prioritize doing what’s right for our patients.
What We’re Looking For:
A registered dental assistant (RDA) or DA with 8-hour Infection Control certification who is confident working in both clinical and administrative roles.
Key Qualifications:
- Dental background experience
- RDA license or DA with 8-hour infection control certification
- Strong understanding of dental insurance and how insurance companies operate
- Experience with Dentrix software preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident with discussing financial arrangements, treatment plans, and payment options
- Comfortable handling tough financial conversations with clarity and compassion
- Ability to multitask, think ahead, and keep the schedule full for both doctor and hygienist
- Self-driven and independent—no micromanaging needed
- Skilled in patient flow coordination
- Dependable and on time—ready to work when you clock in
- Must be a team player who values consistency and patient experience
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Schedule patients and fill cancellations or holes in the doctor and hygiene schedules proactively
- Verify and follow up on dental insurance claims and fight for unpaid claims
- Collect payments and follow up with patients on outstanding balances
- Assist in the operatory when needed, including perio charting
- Communicate and coordinate treatment plans and financials clearly and effectively
- Help manage the flow of the office and keep the team running smoothly
