This is a Full-service Marriott hotel located directly by the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, part of Ascent Hospitality, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Engineering Team.

This position reports directly to the Chief Engineer and plays a key leadership role in supporting the daily operations of the Engineering Department while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and exceptional guest environment.

At The Rocket and Space Center, Marriott Huntsville, our Engineering Team is responsible for maintaining a beautiful, well-functioning property that delivers outstanding guest experiences. What You Will Do:

· Supervise, lead, and support the daily activities of the Engineering and Maintenance team.

· Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of repairs throughout the hotel.

· Troubleshoot and assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems.

· Respond promptly to maintenance requests, guest concerns, and operational needs.

· Inspect guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure quality standards are met.

· Assist the Chief Engineer with managing work orders, preventive maintenance programs, and daily departmental priorities.

· Train, coach, and mentor Engineering team members on proper maintenance procedures, safety practices, and hotel standards.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment performance.

· Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and applicable local regulations.

· Assist with vendor coordination, contractor access, and maintenance projects as needed.

· Support emergency response procedures and ensure the property remains safe and operational at all times.

· Promote a positive team environment while providing exceptional service to guests and hotel departments.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous hotel or commercial maintenance/engineering experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively leading and supporting a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies when needed.
• Marriott or full-service hotel experience is a plus.
