Position Summary:
The Graphic Designer will help bring the CAKE brand to life across all platforms through bold, innovative visuals. This position is responsible for producing high-quality static design assets for social media, packaging, merchandise, web, and events. The ideal candidate is highly creative, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, experimental environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design high-volume, high-quality digital and print assets including social graphics, packaging, merchandise, web visuals, and marketing collateral
- Develop visually compelling creative that aligns with CAKE’s bold, culture-forward aesthetic
- Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm concepts and execute innovative campaigns
- Ensure brand consistency across all visual assets and touchpoints
- Prepare production-ready files for vendors, printers, packaging partners, and digital platforms
- Maintain organized design files and asset libraries for team efficiency
- Stay current on design trends, tools, and emerging creative techniques
- Support cross-functional teams by producing creative assets for marketing campaigns, events, presentations, and retail activations
Must-Haves:
- Proven experience in graphic design
- Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Experience creating high-quality digital and print content
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and branding
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative environment
- Eligible to work in the United States and able to pass a background check
- Valid California Driver’s License
Nice to Have:
- Experience with lifestyle, fashion, music, or cannabis brands
- Experience designing packaging, merchandise, or apparel
- Knowledge of California cannabis compliance for packaging, labeling, and advertising
- Basic photography, illustration, or content creation skills
- Familiarity with AI-powered design tools and workflows
- Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related field
- Experience with brand storytelling, campaigns, or experiential design (pop-ups, trade shows, activations)
