RESIDENTIAL SERVICE PLUMBER
Greenwich, CT

THE BASICS
Location: Greenwich, CT
Pay: $35–$60/hr base (higher end for more experienced techs), plus uncapped truck bonus and developing SPF bonus opportunities (see below)
Service Area: Primary focus within a 5-mile radius of Greenwich/Stamford, CT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30/4:00 PM (40 hours guaranteed even if jobs wrap early)
On-Call: Rotating on-call week (Friday–Friday) for emergency no-heat/no-hot-water calls only; paid time and a half
Reports To: Owner
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform residential plumbing service and install work — most jobs completed in 1–2 days, larger boiler jobs up to 4–5 days
- Diagnose issues thoroughly, addressing root cause rather than just the immediate symptom
- Conduct a full home plumbing walk-through on service calls (water quality, water pressure, pipe condition, water heater status) and explain findings to the homeowner in plain language
- Present upfront, flat-rate pricing options using the company price book — no hourly billing, no surprise invoices
- Build trust and rapport with homeowners to create a five-star customer experience
- Keep your company-provided van and tools organized and job-ready
- Participate in the rotating on-call schedule for genuine emergency calls

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- Valid, clean driver's license
- Connecticut P2 plumbing license
- Experience performing residential plumbing service and install work
- Strong communication skills — comfortable educating homeowners, not a high-pressure sales approach
- Organized, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining tools and truck
Nice to Have (not required):
- Actively working toward or holding a P1 license
- Experience with digital CRM/scheduling systems
- Experience presenting flat-rate or price-book-based pricing to customers
