HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN

This is a hands-on field role for an experienced tech who can be trusted to run their own day — diagnosing, deciding, and completing the job without someone circling back to check the work. You'll work primarily on residential HVAC and plumbing calls across the Vail Valley, with occasional support on larger commercial and remodel projects, including landmark buildings like the Red Lion in Vail Village and recent work at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch.
THE BASICS
- Location: Eagle, CO (field-based — service area covers Vail, Avon, Edwards, Eagle, Gypsum along the I-70 corridor)
- Pay: $25–$45/hr, negotiable based on experience and licensing
- Schedule: Full-time. Regular operations run approximately 7:00 am–5:00 pm. Technicians typically handle 5–6 jobs per day depending on complexity; longer jobs may reduce the daily workload to 2–3 calls.
- On-Call: Rotating schedule, published monthly. Technicians alternate weekends and typically cover shorter blocks rather than a full week. After-hours coverage currently runs 5:00 pm–7:00 am, though the company is considering tightening this to approximately 6:00 pm–6:00 am. Overnight calls are possible but uncommon.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including radiant in-floor heat and heat pumps
- Perform plumbing repair, replacement, and new-install work (faucets, leak repair, water/waste lines, remodels — not drain-specialist work)
- Recommend solutions independently — assess the situation and determine the right fix without needing office sign-off
- Run 5–6 jobs per day on average, depending on scope
- Support commercial preventative maintenance and service work as needed
- Maintain and restock company vehicle; log work through Service Titan
