What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant & Receptionist position at Third Street Veterinary Hospital?
WHO WE ARE
We are a small-animal general practice in the heart of McMinnville wine country, with one full-time veterinarian and a close-knit team. We value the relationships we build with our clients, their pets, and one another. Our team culture is rooted in kindness, respect, open communication, a sense of humor, and a genuine enjoyment of the work we do together.
Mental health and work-life balance are priorities in our practice. We believe that supporting one another, maintaining realistic expectations, and communicating openly allows our team to provide the best possible care. Client education is central to our approach, and we strive to empower families with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their pets’ health.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a veterinary assistant for either part-time or full-time hours. This is a well-rounded position that includes both clinical assisting and reception responsibilities, with a fairly even balance between the two. Because we are a small team, the ability to move comfortably between hands-on patient care and front-office responsibilities is essential.
Previous employment in a veterinary clinic is required to be considered for this position. Candidates must have at least one year of prior veterinary experience. We are looking for someone who is already familiar with the day-to-day workflow of a veterinary practice and can confidently triage cases and contribute in both clinical and reception capacities.
