Position Summary
Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Shipping Lead main task is to:
Provide first line leadership to support the Shipping operations team through continuous improvement of plant operation, maintenance, equipment integrity, reliability, and safety performance.

Provide first line leadership to support the Shipping operations team through continuous improvement of plant operation, maintenance, equipment integrity, reliability, and safety performance.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow written or oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties.
- Provide troubleshooting expertise for the Shipping operators.
- Know, comply, and enforce safe work procedures and operational discipline practices to the Shipping team.
- Responsible for leading tasks associated with picking/packing/labeling and shipping operations.
- Assist in the training of shipping processes.
- Print daily shipping schedule.
- Prioritize and manage the workload to ensure assignments address the objectives for the day.
- Monitor the efficiency and quality of all logistic orders.
- Assist in troubleshooting shipping order, incident/accident, and customer complaint investigations.
- Maintain inventory and replenishment for all shipping supplies.
- Work cooperatively across all aspects of operations to meet quality, EHS&S policies, and objectives to meet customer needs.
- Perform forklift loading/unloading duties safely and according to regulations.
- Provide direction and training assistance to Shipping operators.
- Act as a stepup Supervisor.
- Thoroughly inspecting packages, paperwork and loading vehicles for any damages and discrepancies.
- Accurately recording warehouse inventory movements of all packages received and shipped on Purchase orders and sales orders.
- Complete inventory movements physically and within company ERP system.
- Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect labels, address paperwork and/or batch discrepancies, replace or repackage damaged product.
- Complying with safety standards and warehouse protocols for equipment use.
- Perform plant cleanup standard tasks during and at the end of an operation or workday.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- High School Graduate or GED (preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 4 years forklift or comparable warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of and experience working with hazardous materials.
- Must be able to multitask, stay organized, detailed, and focused and show a high level of initiative.
- Strong operations aptitude is desired.
- Must have good communication and leadership skills.
- Must be a selfstarter and willing to work in a team environment.
- Ability to identify and then implement process and productivity improvements.
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately and completely, understand the importance of detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively to team members and management.
- Good Computer skills/ERP system experience.
- Must be able to read and interpret a Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use their hands and arms to handle, feel, or reach.
- The team member frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- The team member is occasionally required to sit.
- The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally move or manipulate drums weighing between 200600 pounds.
