Handles, moves, and stores various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within and outside of the warehouse. Duties include loading and unloading different types of transport vehicles and recording inventory movement transactions via company ERP system.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow written or oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties.
- Prepare packages for shipments. Ensure that all packages are cleaned, safely secured, packed, and labeled for shipment according to order and customer requirements.
- Request and apply labels and transfer products to warehouse locations.
- Handle, move or store various nonhazardous and hazardous materials within and outside of the warehouse. Ensuring safe and efficient transporting of materials in compliance with Safe operating practices of Powered Industrial Truck (forklift) according to regulations.
- Thoroughly inspecting packages, paperwork and loading vehicles for any damages and discrepancies.
- Accurately recording warehouse inventory movements of all packages received and shipped on Purchase orders and sales orders.
- Complete inventory movements physically and within company ERP system.
- Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect labels, address paperwork and/or batch discrepancies, replace or repackage damaged product.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report the following to supervisor: equipment defects or malfunctions; nonconforming packages; safety issues or incidents.
- Loading and unloading different types of transport vehicles (box trucks, containers, flat bed trailers, pickup truck, vans…etc... May be required to use forklift attachments such as: drum pickers.
- Complete paperwork and other minor administrative tasks carefully ensuring all information is entered correctly and clearly
- Complying with safety standards and warehouse protocols for equipment use.
- Perform plant cleanup standard tasks during and at the end of an operation or workday.
- Exhibit and practices the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors.
- High School Graduate or GED (preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 2 years forklift or comparable warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of and experience working with hazardous materials.
- Must be able to multitask, stay organized, detailed, and focused and show a high level of initiative.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to identify and then implement process and productivity improvements.
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately and completely, understand the importance of detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively to team members and management.
- Computer/ERP system experience.
- Must have a desire to learn, grow and take on additional responsibilities.
- Must be able to learn quickly, retain knowledge and follow instructions.
- Must be able to read and interpret a Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
- Warehouse environment can expose Team members to temperature fluctuations (hot/cold).
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use their hands and arms to handle, feel, or reach.
- The team member frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- The team member is occasionally required to sit.
- The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally move or manipulate drums weighing between 200600 pounds.
