We are seeking an experienced writer with strong editorial judgment to contribute to and shape long-form documentary and video essay scripts. This role requires more than clean writing. The successful candidate will be able to assess ideas quickly, improve structure and pacing, and help maintain a consistent editorial standard across multiple contributors.
You will work closely with senior leadership during a period of editorial refinement, contributing both original scripts and substantive edits to existing drafts. The position suits someone comfortable taking responsibility for quality, making decisions, and improving work without extensive guidance.

Responsibilities
- Write long-form scripts that meet clear editorial and narrative standards
- Edit and restructure drafts from other writers to improve clarity, focus, and engagement
- Identify weaknesses in story framing, pacing, and argumentation and correct them
- Maintain consistency of tone and style across published work
- Work with leadership to refine story selection and narrative angles
- Make firm editorial decisions to improve output quality and audience retention
- Provide direct, useful feedback to contributing writers
- Help establish repeatable standards for script structure and quality
- Meet deadlines reliably and revise work efficiently when necessary
