Properties are located one block from the beach and are designed to serve both locals and visitors through multiple food and beverage outlets and thoughtfully curated guest rooms. The team is committed to delivering unique, artful, and intimate service that stands out in the Miami hospitality market.


Role Description The Director of Luxury and Business Transient Sales is a full-time role based in Miami Beach, FL. This role is responsible for driving luxury and business transient revenue across Think Hospitality’s hotel portfolio through proactive sales strategies, key account management, and consistent market outreach. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing sales plans, prospecting and closing new corporate, consortia, and luxury travel accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with existing partners, agencies, and corporate clients. The director will collaborate closely with revenue management, marketing, and operations teams to align pricing, packages, and promotions with market demand and brand positioning. Additional duties include preparing sales forecasts and reports, representing the hotels at industry events and trade shows, conducting site inspections, and ensuring all sales activities support the company’s service standards and guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement annual sales plans targeting luxury consortia, corporate and executive travel accounts.
  • Solicit and secure negotiated corporate rate agreements with local, national, and international companies. Negotiate and manage corporate rate agreements, RFPs, and contracts to ensure competitive pricing and high-value partnerships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to target business transient segments, including corporate travelers, consultants, and small business groups, with a focus on increasing market share in the Miami area.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, consortia partners, luxury travel advisors, and industry influencers.  Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned luxury accounts.
  • Ensure all interactions reflect the highest standards of luxury hospitality.  Promote the hotel's unique amenities, suites, experiences, and VIP services.
  • As a vertical market, develop and manage relationships with entertainment industry clients. Position the hotel as the preferred luxury accommodations partner for celebrity, VIP, and production travel. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in luxury hotel consortia sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role focused on business transient or corporate sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive hospitality market, ideally in a resort or urban hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sales systems (e.g., Lanyon, Agency360, BI), revenue management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and industry events (up to 25% travel).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Experience in the South Florida hospitality market as well as with luxury hotel brands and/or comparable independent luxury hotels is highly desirable.
  • Profound expertise in forging alliances with luxury travel consortia and TMC.
  • Exceptional relationship-building abilities with high-level executives and industry decision-makers. Knowledge of luxury travel trends and entertainment industry travel requirements.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (or other languages) to engage with diverse clientele.
  • High energy, strategic thinker with a passion for hospitality and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment while adapting to changing market conditions.
