What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Thies & Talle?
SUMMARY: The Accountant is responsible for all day-to-day accounting duties, including preparation of monthly financial statements for approximately 35 properties. The Accountant is also responsible for preparing accounts payable and reconciling bank statements.

- Prepare all tasks to properly and accurately complete the monthly company operating reports.
- Performs all tasks to properly complete accounts payable.
- Prepares monthly bank reconciliation.
- Maintain cash balances.
- Processes security deposit refunds and letters to former residents.
- Prepares for year-end audits.
- Performs collections.
- Performs filing.
- Responds to financial information requests from outside agencies with a financial or ownership interest in the property.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Accountant reports to the Controller. The Accountant does not supervise other employees.
