What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Technologist position at Thibodaux Regional Health System?
Responsible for performing chemical, hemotology, urinalysis, microbiology and blood bank analysis and related techniques for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
1. An Associates degree or Bachelor of Science degree required.
Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:
1. Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists recommended.
2. Must be licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist or Clinical Lab Science-Technician by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners or can be eligible for licensure.
