What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner - Hospital position at Thibodaux Regional Health System?
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) provide comprehensive health care services to a defined patient population under the supervision of a Physician. Obtaining a comprehensive health history; performs physical examination; formulates a plan of care and treatment; prescribes/performs diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and procedures; and participates in patient and family education. Each APRN demonstrates professional leadership and actively participates in quality/outcomes improvement activities, and organizational development.
Previous Experience:
1. Previous experience in clinical specialty area nursing in hospital setting preferred.
2. Must possess good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:
1. Current Valid Louisiana State Board of Nursing Advanced Practice License required.
