What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant - Cancer Center position at Thibodaux Regional Health System?
The Medical Assistant is responsible for rendering professional clinical assistance to patients within the Cancer Center in support of the provider(s), nurses, and other medical personnel. Works directly with the provider(s) as a liaison between the patient and the provider for establishing and maintaining quality patient care.
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
1. Public interaction work desired.
Other Special Training or Skills
1. Receives on the job training for office specific tasks
2. Knowledge of medical terminology.
3. Ability to learn quickly from oral and written instructions.
4. Typing skills required.
5. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills.

- Graduate of a Medical Assistant training Program preferred.
