Job Overview
The HVAC Installer is responsible for the complete installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial settings. You will be the face of our company during the most critical phase of the customer journey, ensuring that every duct, pipe, and wire meets our rigorous "Master" standards.
Core Responsibilities
- System Installation: Install new furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductlessmini-split systems according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
- Ductwork & Layout: Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork, including transitionsand plenums, ensuring optimal airflow and sealing.
- Refrigeration & Piping: Braze refrigerant lines, install condensate piping, and perform pressure tests/evacuations to ensure system integrity.
- Quality Control: Conduct start-up procedures to verify system performance (static pressure, temperature rise, and refrigerant charge).
- Job Site Management: Maintain a clean and organized work area, protecting customer property and ensuring a professional "finished" look.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2 years of experience in HVAC installation (Lead experience preferred).
- Technical Skill: Proficiency in brazing, electrical wiring, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Certifications: EPA Universal Certification (Preferred); NATE Certification (Preferred).
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 75 lbs, work in tight spaces (crawlspaces/attics), and climb ladders.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Tools: Possession of basic hand tools and specialized HVAC installation tools.
