JOB SUMMARY: The Casting Supervisor reports to the Plant Manager. Supervisors will be responsible for delegating daily production work to team members and make sure work is done to TBB standards. Supervisors will demonstrate and promote safe operation of all TBB tools and equipment. Supervisors are responsible for the performance of assigned team to produce a quality product and a foster continuous improvement environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct daily operations for casting beds, forms, reinforcement, pouring, finishing, curing, and demolding
- Assign tasks, train operators, monitor performance, and maintain labor efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with mixed designs, reinforcement placement, dimensional accuracy, and finish standards; partner with QC on inspections and corrective actions.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain a clean, hazard‑free work area.
- Execute the daily/weekly production plan, identify bottlenecks, and adjust staffing or sequencing to hit targets.
- Verify availability of rebar, embeds, hardware, forms, lifting devices, and concrete; coordinate with maintenance on equipment uptime.
- Track production counts, scrap/rework, labor hours, downtime, and daily shift notes.
- Recommend process improvements, tooling upgrades, and layout changes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Maintenance to ensure smooth handoffs and accurate builds.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Experience in precast concrete, structural concrete, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of concrete behavior, curing, reinforcement, and formwork.
- Proven ability to lead crews (10–30 employees typical).
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and production specs.
- Knowledge of PPE, OSHA standards, rigging, and lifting procedures.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to operate or oversee equipment such as overhead cranes, concrete buckets, vibrators, and finishing tools.
TRAVEL, HOURS OF WORK, & SUPERVISION:
This position normally requires the individual to be physically present at one or more TBB manufacturing location Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM but these hours may occasionally be extended to 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Friday and Saturdays as deemed necessary. This position will report to the Plant Manager.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
· Forklift Operator
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Prior supervisory or lead‑hand experience in precast or construction.
- Certifications: ACI, PCI, rigging/lifting, or OSHA 30.
- Experience with ERP or production tracking systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (including but not limited to):
· Able to work a 10-hour shift standing/walking.
· Able to climb ladders repetitively.
· Able to bend, crouch, twist, pull.
· Able to lift/carry 70 lbs.
· Able to work in hot and wintry conditions as required.
