You'll be part of our EHS team at Thermo Fisher Scientific where you'll maintain workplace safety and environmental compliance. As a Lead EHS Technician, you'll collaborate closely with the Site EHS Manager to implement and oversee safety programs, conduct facility inspections, and support a culture of workplace safety. You'll coordinate emergency response initiatives, manage hazardous materials, and contribute to continuous improvement in our EHS systems. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on workplace safety while supporting our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant EHS experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
- Preferred Fields of Study: Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or related field
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and compliance requirements
- Experience conducting safety inspections and identifying workplace hazards
- Ability to lead and participate in incident investigations
- Proficiency in developing and delivering safety training programs
- Experience with hazardous waste management and chemical safety protocols
- Strong project management and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with safety committees and emergency response teams
- Ability to work with contractors and vendors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Additional language skills welcomed
