ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager PAY: Salary
POSITION Full Time FLSA CLASS Exempt
DEPARTMENT Electrical SHIFT Day
JOB SUMMARY:
Electrical Supervisor responsibilities include overseeing a team of electricians. In this role, he/she will
be responsible training and mentoring staff, creating work schedules, providing technical assistance
and troubleshooting issues. Also will be required to maintain and repair electrical equipment used on-
site.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Electrical Supervisor will possess the qualifications of an Electrician 1, Electrician 2, Electrician
3 with the following additions:
- Performance Appraisals
- Corrective Action
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Electrician 1
- Electrician 2
- Electrician 3
ELECTRICIAL SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITES:
- Provide input to management regarding team selection and discipline.
- Oversee training of Electrician 1, Electrician 2, Electrician 3 employees
- Help Electrician 1 employees reach Electrician 2 and / or Electrician 3 Status
- Handle situations as they arise with the help of their manager when required
- Troubleshooting and solving any / all design system problems
- Promote Continuous Improvement daily.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Designing and implementing work schedules for the electrical staff
- Providing motivation and assistance when necessary
- Inspecting and assessing the work done by the electrical staff
- Reading and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical
- Troubleshooting major system failures and equipment malfunctions
- Repairing and maintaining electrical equipment
- Overseeing the purchasing and maintenance of the electrical equipment on-site

- Ensuring the work is completed on schedule and to code.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work area
- Consulting with the other departments
ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of an electrical journeyman
- Proven work experience as an electrician 3
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills
- Familiarity with state and electrical and safety codes
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills
- Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering and fault testing equipment
- Able to work a 10-hour shift standing/walking.
- Able to climb ladders repetitively.
- Able to bend, crouch, twist, pull.
- Able to lift/carry 70 lbs.
- Able to work in hot and wintry conditions as required
TRAVEL, HOURS OF WORK, & SUPERVISION:
This position normally requires the individual to be physically present at one or more TBB
manufacturing location Monday through Friday, but may occasionally be extended to Saturday as
deemed necessary. This position may require occasional travel to site locations as deemed necessary.
This position will report to the Plant Manager.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
- Current Apprentice and / or Journeyman license.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum five years electrical experience.
