Role Description The Inside Technical Sales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mount Airy, MD. This position is responsible for responding to customer inquiries, evaluating technical requirements, and recommending appropriate products and solutions related to electric heating, temperature control, temperature sensing, and power control Day-to-day tasks include preparing quotations, following up on opportunities, providing technical support via phone and email, and coordinating with other team members and vendors to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. The role involves maintaining product and application knowledge, updating CRM records, and supporting customer training and troubleshooting as needed. The Inside Technical Sales Engineer works closely with the inside sales and operations teams to drive revenue growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated Technical Sales and Sales skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and propose suitable solutions.
- Experience in Sales Engineering, including interpreting technical specifications and selecting appropriate industrial components.
- Strong Technical Support capabilities, including problem-solving, product application assistance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Degree in Engineering is required.
- Background industrial technology, or a related technical field is beneficial.
- Familiarity with electrical or industrial control products such as heaters, controllers, sensors, and power distribution equipment is a plus.
- Proficiency with CRM and standard office software, and ability to manage multiple customer requests and priorities.
