Position Overview
The Account Executive – Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) is responsible for developing and managing relationships with commercial and industrial clients seeking to integrate advanced control systems into their HVAC infrastructure.
This role combines technical acumen and consultative sales expertise, identifying client needs, proposing tailored automation solutions, and leading the sales process from initial consultation through project close.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage new and existing B2B client relationships across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and institutional sectors.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to integrate Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) with HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Conduct client consultations, facility assessments, and technical discussions to uncover needs and present value-driven solutions.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and RFP responses, collaborating with engineering and operations teams.
- Manage the entire sales cycle — from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and close.
- Partner with internal Controls Engineers and Project Managers to ensure solution accuracy, pricing integrity, and customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, energy efficiency trends, and smart building innovations.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reports.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand presence and customer pipeline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred but not required).
- 3–7 years of experience in B2B sales within Building Automation, HVAC Controls, or Energy Management industries.
- Understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls, BMS/BAS integration, and IoT technologies.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical or solution-based sales environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to consult and problem-solve at an executive level.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software (Salesforce or similar).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
