Since 1979, our client, Therm-O-Link, Inc., located in Garrettsville, OH, has been a recognized leader in advanced wire and cable manufacturing. As they continue to grow and evolve, they are seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to lead financial operations and drive business performance.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, shape financial strategy, and help guide Therm-O-Link through its next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals. Advise leadership on economic trends, tax code changes, and operational adjustments.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare and present financial reports that summarize income, expenses, and earnings. Forecast future performance based on historical and current data.
- Budgeting & Analysis: Lead the budgeting process, review proposals, and provide supporting documentation and justification.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain strong internal controls in line with GAAP.
- Audit & Risk Management: Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
- Payroll & Costing Oversight: Supervise payroll systems and establish product pricing based on costing structures.
- Team Leadership: Directly supervise accounting, AP, and AR teams. Hire, train, and develop staff while fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
Requirements
- 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including financial reporting and forecasting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Controller-level experience in a small business environment with broad financial oversight
- Supervisory experience, with a proven ability to manage and develop team members
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- High proficiency in Excel and experience preparing budgets and cash flow projections
