Job Description
Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Corvallis, OR. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to obtain high-quality medical images for diagnostic purposes. The Radiologic Technologist will also be responsible for maintaining imaging equipment and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout the imaging process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate imaging equipment such as X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound machines
- Position patients and equipment to obtain the best possible diagnostic images
- Review physician orders and patient medical histories to determine appropriate imaging protocols
- Ensure that patients are prepared for imaging procedures and that safety guidelines are followed
- Develop and process radiographic film, digital images, and other types of medical imaging
- Maintain imaging equipment and ensure that it is in good working order
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective diagnosis and treatment
- Provide patient care and education as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or related field
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Oregon State Radiologic Technologist License
- Knowledge of radiology equipment and techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to lift and move equipment and patients as needed
