Job Description
Job Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using specialized equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and radiology procedures, as well as excellent communication and patient care skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform CT scans according to physician orders
2. Position patients correctly and ensure their safety during the procedure
3. Operate and maintain CT equipment
4. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during the scan
5. Ensure images are of high quality for accurate diagnosis
6. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
7. Maintain patient records and confidentiality
8. Follow all protocols and procedures for radiation safety and infection control
9. Participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date on latest techniques and technologies
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
2. ARRT certification in CT required
3. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
4. CPR certification
5. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiology procedures
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Attention to detail and accuracy
9. Strong patient care skills
