CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (COTA/L)

Therapeutic Beginnings is a pediatric Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy clinic serving the greater South Sound areas. We are family-focused and therapist driven. We are intentional in developing evidence-based whole-family interventions that are designed to nurture a child’s sense of accomplishment through structure and play. Our staff fosters positivity, compassion, and competence through collaborative learning and holistic care with an approach that honors the unique needs of every child.

Role Description/ Qualifications

  • Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Washington
  • Able to complete general daily duties in line with Occupational Therapy professional standards in line with skills associated with a COTA. Duties may include assisting with evaluations, therapeutic interventions, documentation, session planning, etc. in order to assist patients in meeting goals
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of medical and rehabilitation principles related to occupational therapy.
  • Experience/passion working with pediatric patients is preferred.
  • Presents with strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, caregivers and multidisciplinary team
  • Has a commitment to life-long learning, professional development and staying current with best practices in occupational therapy
  • Will actively participate in ongoing employer sponsored Continuing Education and community events
  • Is willing to take the initiative to benefit the well-being of patients and clinic

Compensation/Benefits

  • Flexible scheduling; part or full-time
  • $72,000-$85,000 annual equivalency base rate
