TheraPeds Partners is a Colorado based, therapist-owned and operated organization. We partner with our local schools to provide Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) services to PreK–12 students nationwide. This is a full-time, on-site role as a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) serving a school located in San Mateo, CA. 

The Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs. 

Job Details

• Full-time, school-based opportunity with a 37.5-hour work week
• 2026–2027 academic year assignment (August 2026 through May 2027)
• Provide services to students in middle and high school (grades 6–12)
• 100% in-person position within a collaborative educational setting
• Guaranteed paid hours covering direct services, documentation, report writing, planning, meetings, and other professional responsibilities
• Well-balanced caseload designed to promote quality student services and work-life balance
• Ongoing collaboration, mentorship, and support from both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds Partners team
• Competitive hourly pay of $70–$90 , with estimated weekly earnings of approximately $2,625–$3,375 based on a full-time schedule

Qualifications

• Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
• Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or related field
• Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based behavioral interventions
• Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
• Experience working with children
• Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
• Organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in use of technology
• Fingerprint background clearance
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications

Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
