Power BI (no c2c, only W2)

JOB TITLE: Principal Power BI & Claude Data Visualization Consultant

LOCATION: Lebanon, IN (one week a month onsite, the rest remote)

JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a highly experienced Data Visualization Consultant to support a large-scale construction program based in Lebanon, Indiana. This role will partner directly with senior leadership to deliver high-impact, executive-level dashboards and insights. This is a 6-month engagement with strong potential for extension. The role is primarily remote, with travel to the Lebanon, IN site one week per month.

RESPONSBILITIES:

Data Engineering & Integration

• Establish secure, read-only connections to Oracle Primavera P6 (EPPM) data sources and staging environments (e.g., BigQuery).
• Design and optimize data models that unify multiple project schedules into a single, analysis-ready structure.
• Integrate scheduling data with enterprise systems such as SharePoint and Veeva.
• Build modern, automated data pipelines—no reliance on file-based extracts (e.g., XER, XML, Excel).

Power BI Dashboard Development

• Create executive-level dashboards, including large-scale Gantt visualizations across multiple sites and systems.
• Develop intuitive drill-down capabilities (Program → Site → System → Product Line).
• Incorporate key project insights such as critical path, dependencies, and planned vs. actual vs. forecast variance.
• Ensure dashboards stay current through automated data refresh processes.

AI-Driven Visualization & Applications (Claude AI)

• Build and deploy custom data connectors leveraging Claude AI to transform and interpret P6 data.
• Develop interactive, web-based dashboards (HTML/JavaScript) generated through AI workflows.
• Package reusable AI capabilities for internal rollout, including documentation and deployment guidance.
• Design automation to generate monthly executive status presentations using project data and meeting notes.
• Validate dashboard accuracy against Primavera P6 outputs at a detailed level.
• Document data models, pipelines, and transformation logic for transparency and maintainability.
• Lead knowledge transfer sessions and provide clear handoff materials to internal teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong background in data engineering, including ETL/ELT pipeline design and advanced SQL (Oracle, BigQuery, or SQL Server).
• Deep expertise in Power BI, including DAX, custom visuals, and Power BI Service administration.
• Experience building AI-powered applications using LLMs (preferably Claude) and integrating APIs.
• Front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js).
• Experience working with large-scale schedule data, including complex Gantt charts and dependency mapping.

Preferred Experience

• Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated (GxP) environments.
• Familiarity with large capital project environments or greenfield facility buildouts.
• Exposure to systems such as MES, LIMS, SAP, Tulip, or Computer System Validation (CSV).

Certifications (Nice to Have)

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
• Claude or LLM-related certifications, or demonstrated experience delivering AI-based solutions in production
