Job Description:
Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a Business Analyst to add to their growing team. Our client is seeking an individual who will support customer-facing digital applications. This person will work closely with application teams supporting online portals, mobile apps, quoting solutions, and other agent/customer-facing systems.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys learning new technology and solving problems. The team is looking for someone curious, motivated, and comfortable supporting multiple applications in a fast-paced agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance multiple P&C digital applications including customer portals, mobile apps, and agent-facing systems
- Work across at least two applications initially, while building understanding of all applications supported by the team
- Partner with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and help shape solutions
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and quarterly planning
- Provide functional application support (roughly 20–30% of the role). Analyze functional issues and help drive tickets through resolution. Investigate system-generated errors, understand business impact, and coordinate with development teams when technical changes are needed
- Develop strong knowledge of the applications and business processes so you can confidently answer “Can the system handle this?”
- Help identify gaps in application functionality and contribute ideas for improvements
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience working with customer facing web applications in enterprise environments
- Ability to manage and prioritize work across multiple applications and initiatives at a time
- Experience working in agile development environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter mentality with a strong desire to learn and take initiative
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business teams
Desired:
- Experience in insurance, especially Property & Casualty, is highly preferred
- Experience supporting digital products such as customer portals, quoting platforms, websites, or mobile applications is a strong plus
- BA or Product Owner certifications are nice to have
