We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, support the front-of-house team, and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. This is a hands-on position that includes greeting guests, food running, beverage preparation, operating our soft-serve ice cream machine, and completing daily cleaning responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating as needed.
- Take guest orders accurately and efficiently when required.
- Prepare and refill tea and lemonade according to established recipes.
- Run food and beverages to tables promptly and professionally.
- Refill and maintain the guest water station throughout each shift.
- Learn the proper operation of Theodore's soft-serve ice cream machine.
- Prepare and serve soft-serve ice cream while following company recipes and presentation standards.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain the ice cream machine according to daily, weekly, and closing procedures.
- Monitor ice cream product levels and notify management when supplies need to be restocked.
- Complete all required opening, mid-shift, and closing duties related to the ice cream station.
- Complete the daily cleaning checklist for the host area and other assigned sections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host station.
- Communicate clearly with team members and assist wherever needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications
- Prior customer service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a strong team-player mindset.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn new skills, including operating and maintaining restaurant equipment such as the soft-serve ice cream machine.
- Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and standard operating procedures with attention to detail.
Pay: $13.50 - $17.50 per hour
