We are seeking a Customer Service Sales Representative to join a growing aerospace manufacturing company in Meriden, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing customer service, inside sales, or account management, preferably within the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
- Process customer purchase orders, order changes, and schedule updates.
- Prepare and distribute quotations for products and services.
- Coordinate with production planning and operations regarding delivery schedules and lead times.
- Monitor open orders and proactively communicate order status updates.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, delivery, product specifications, and quality concerns.
- Support sales efforts through customer relationship management and account development activities.
- Maintain accurate customer records within ERP and CRM systems.
- Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve customer issues and corrective actions.
- Assist in forecasting customer demand and identifying opportunities for increased sales.
- Participate in customer meetings, audits, and business reviews as required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of customer service, inside sales, or account management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace customer requirements preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, QAD, or similar.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience supporting aerospace OEMs and Tier One suppliers.
- Familiarity with purchase orders, long-term agreements, and aerospace contracts.
- Understanding of production scheduling, manufacturing processes, and supply chain operations.
- Experience with quoting and pricing activities.
- - $38 per hour, depending on experience.
