Our Portland client, a multi-site healthcare provider, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support continued growth.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Accounting Manager plays a key role in managing the organization’s accounting function, driving accurate financial reporting, and improving processes. This individual will lead the close process, partner with leadership on financial insights, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial results and provide insights to leadership
- Support partner compensation calculations
- Oversee daily accounting functions, including AP, inventory, and reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency across all accounting processes
- Support pharmacy-related accounting activities
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close
- Review team output for accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with annual budget preparation
- Monitor actuals vs. budget and provide variance analysis
- Support financial planning initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with QuickBooks Online or similar systems
